Killer Virgins was conceived as a modern day punk project with an outspoken female perspective. Inspired by vintage punk acts like the Sex Pistols and the Ramones, singer/songwriter/guitarist Samantha Weinstein aimed to shape the band's sound with the lushness of the 90s along with the modern feel of late-2000s indie rock. Drummer Gabe Corindia and bassist Drew Brazier complete the outfit, rounding out Weinstein’s bright vocals and edgy riffs with heavy drums and grooving bass. KV has been active in the Toronto rock scene since 2018, having played many of the city's most iconic cultural landmarks including Sneaky Dee’s, the Rivoli, and the Horseshoe Tavern. Their new single BANANA is available now on all streaming platforms. Its accompanying music video, featuring a Banana-man running for his life from a hungry gorilla, was shot on the streets of Toronto in one incredibly lucky weekend just before the province went into lockdown.
